The Wild Amen exists to connect women across generations and denominations, creating spaces where God’s Word takes root and faith is nurtured. Our mission is to help women grow spiritually, experience authentic community, and encounter God in ways that are real, meaningful, and transformative.
Through stripped-down worship, honest conversation, and storytelling, we strive to make space for women to wrestle with Scripture, reflect on their faith, and share their journeys with one another. We believe that faith is not meant to be lived alone — it flourishes when hearts are open, stories are shared, and relationships are built on trust and truth.
Our Goals:
- To create environments where women can engage deeply with God’s Word.
- To foster authentic, cross-generational relationships rooted in Christ.
- To encourage women to live boldly in their faith and share their stories.
- To offer opportunities for simple, meaningful worship and spiritual reflection.
At The Wild Amen, we invite women from all walks of the Christian faith to connect and grow together.

WHO WE ARE:
Hi, we’re Rachel and Monica — longtime friends, sisters in Christ, and co-hosts of The Wild Amen podcast. We’ve been friends for over 10 years and have loved exploring big theological ideas and how they intersect with everyday life.
Rachel Barker
Rachel has been married to her husband, Josh, for 17 years, and together they’re raising three lively, entertaining kids. They live on a small hobby homestead, and yes — there are a lot of animals, because Rachel has a hard time saying no!
A proud Bible nerd, Rachel loves digging into Scripture and the cultural context of the time. When she’s not chasing kids or animals, you’ll probably find her with a good book (or audiobook), in the garden, or enjoying something delicious — good food is key.
Rachel is thrilled to be on this adventure with her longtime friend Monica, creating The Wild Amen — a space for women to explore faith, laugh, and learn what it looks like to live each day in light of eternity.
Monia Gregory
Monica is a mom of three and married to her opposite, navigating life with humor, faith, and a little chaos. She’s learning to let go of her own ambitions and trust God’s plans, believing that His will is always better than her own.
A strong-willed, adventurous free spirit (red hair included), Monica delights in gardening, painting, and cooking. She also runs an antique and vintage shop, adding character and creativity to her life.
Monica’s faith shapes how she approaches life’s challenges, trusting that God uses the hard things to make her more like Christ and for His glory.
